Male sterility When the desire to have children seems impossible
“I don’t have enough sperm,” “My sperm quality is insufficient,” “I have erectile dysfunction.”
Male infertility in the testis can be caused by damaging overheating, varicose veins, testis migrated down into the scrotum only later in life, expired mumps, etc. Spermatic ducts may be missing or similar. In general, however, men produce fewer and fewer sperm and these are too small, too immobile and malformed.
Causes can be infections and autoantibodies, but also the modern way of life. Increased stress, increased intake of nicotine and alcohol, some medications, soy products, obesity, and excessive competitive sports have been shown to reduce sperm quality.
How does Vedic Medicine view male infertility?
Male sterility from an Ayurvedic point of view
According to Maharishi Ayurveda, unfulfilled desire for children begins with the loss of natural balance.
Metabolic residues and toxins, called “ama” in Ayurveda, are constantly produced – due to our way of life – which accumulate in the reproductive organs and reduce their functions in case of infertility. A diet rich in vital substances – with vitamins C and E, beta-carotene and zinc – promotes male fertility.
But according to Ayurveda, no two patients are alike, and so every fertility treatment is different. The Ayurvedic approach in our clinic is based on holism.
What can Ayurveda do for you?
In Vedic medicine, male sterility is addressed by combining various treatments into a multi-faceted approach adapted to your individual situation, as determined in a comprehensive diagnosis by one of our physicians.
An integrated approach
Increasingly, patients are finding that conventional therapies alone are not enough.
They realize that the path to fulfillment of the desire for a child must take place at all levels. For example, in the case of infertility, the focus may be on the elimination of toxins or the balancing of the nervous system. It is important to bring the natural regulatory principles back into a necessary balance. Nutritional recommendations, helpful exercises as well as special herbal mixtures – all put together especially for you – help you to lead a more conscious lifestyle. So that your natural self-healing powers can increase fertility again to a healthy level.
